Export Granola Notes and Transcripts

Paste a Granola note or transcript — get clean text, a Word file or the meeting’s notes.

Paste a Granola note or transcript

Cleaning runs in your browser. The file is not uploaded.

Granola has no download button for a single note: Copy notes in the three-dot menu copies the notes as Markdown, and the copy icon in the transcript panel copies the transcript. For everything at once, Settings → Profile → Generate CSV emails one file of all your notes, older ones included. Paste a note or a transcript here to get clean text, a Word file, or the summary and action items.

How to export from Granola

Checked 10 Oct 2026

  1. Open the note, click the three dots and choose Copy notes: Granola copies its AI-enhanced notes as Markdown — the summary, not the transcript.
  2. For the transcript, click the copy icon in the transcript panel.
  3. For every note at once: click your workspace name in the bottom-left corner, then Settings → Profile → Generate CSV, and choose the workspaces.
  4. The CSV opens in Sheets or Excel — copy one meeting’s notes or transcript cell and paste it above.
  5. Paste the note or the transcript into the box at the top of this page.

Frequently Asked Questions

For every note at once: click your workspace name in the bottom-left corner, then Settings → Profile → Generate CSV, and choose the workspaces. You get one CSV with the title, summary, transcript and basic details of every note you own that has a summary, notes older than 30 days included; emailed within a few hours, the link valid for 24 hours and only in a browser signed in to the same Granola account; one export per 24 hours.

Yes. The free (Basic) plan stops showing notes older than 30 days in the app, but Generate CSV still exports them: one CSV with the title, summary, transcript and basic details of every note you own that has a summary, notes older than 30 days included; emailed within a few hours, the link valid for 24 hours and only in a browser signed in to the same Granola account; one export per 24 hours.

For the transcript, click the copy icon in the transcript panel. Copy notes in the three-dot menu copies the AI-enhanced notes as Markdown — the summary, not the transcript. Paste the transcript here to clean it, or to get the summary and action items written from it.

Granola names the speakers Me and Them (your microphone and the call audio) unless speaker tags are set up. Speaker tags only apply while Granola is transcribing, so they do not rename an older transcript.

Click "Get the summary & action items" under the result. The text — not the file — is sent to write the summary, decisions, action items and a follow-up email. The first set of notes is free with no account, for up to 60,000 characters (about an hour of speech).

Not for the conversion: the text is read and cleaned by JavaScript in your browser tab. Only if you ask for notes is the text sent, to write them. MeetWave doesn't store the text you paste. It is sent to our AI processing provider only to write your notes, isn't used to train models, and isn't kept by MeetWave after the answer arrives.

No. Nothing here signs in to Granola or reads its pages. You copy the note or the transcript out of the app yourself and paste it here.
