Meeting Tool Comparisons

Fathom vs Fireflies: Fathom is cheaper and simpler, with a genuinely unlimited free tier for basic recording. Fireflies is the stronger tool for searching across a large archive of past calls and syncing that data into a CRM. The right choice depends mainly on whether you need a shared, searchable team repository with CRM pipelines, or just fast, no-cost notes for yourself.

Otter vs Fathom: Otter treats the transcript as the product — searchable, exportable, with a chat interface to query it. Fathom treats the call summary as the product, built specifically around sales conversations with a genuinely unlimited free tier. If you need an accurate, standalone transcript for any kind of meeting, Otter is the stronger fit; if you need a fast sales call summary, Fathom is closer to what you actually want out of the box.

Otter vs Fireflies: both send a bot into the meeting to record, store everything in the cloud, and offer AI summaries on top of the transcript. The real differences are in free-tier minute caps, per-seat pricing at scale, and integration depth — Fireflies leans more toward CRM and sales workflows, Otter leans more toward general-purpose transcription and mobile capture.

MeetGeek vs Otter: MeetGeek is built around client-facing calls, with meeting analytics, sentiment and engagement scoring, and highlight reels meant to be reviewed after a sales or customer call. Otter is built as a general-purpose transcription tool with strong search, a mature mobile app, and an AI chat layer over the transcript. Pick MeetGeek for customer-call analytics, Otter for broad, reliable transcription across any meeting type.
